Applying for a Place at St Ebbe’s

This short video gives you a taste of what your child can expect from their Reception class experience.

We have a few places available in most of our classes. The Local Authority is responsible for co-ordinating admissions to our school. It works closely with our school and uses our governing body’s agreed admissions policy.

St Ebbe’s School has made changes to the Admissions Policy for 2025- 2026 and are therefore commencing with the below consultation period.
We will be adopting the ‘Straight-line Distance’ from home to school measuring system calculated by Oxfordshire County Council in line with other Oxfordshire Schools.
The consultation period is until 15 January 2024.
Please send any comments or objections to Jo Williams, St Ebbe’s Primary School, Whitehouse Road, Oxford, OX1 4NA or email
The deadline for this is Monday 15 January 2024.
Any responses will be considered by the governing body of the school and the Local Authority will be notified.
If agreed by governors, it will be published as determined policy on 28 February 2024 on the schools website.

Details of the LA arrangements can be found at . Here you will be able to apply online for a primary school place and complete the Common Application Form (CAF) with an explanation of how parents can express a preference for a school. There is also information on how to apply to move between schools (in-year transfer).

Please contact Jo Williams at the school office if you need any more information or if you would like to arrange for a visit. We would like to invite you to the school so we can show you around. You will also be able to meet the staff team, pupils and library dog and hopefully begin to understand why we are so dedicated to educating children.

To arrange a school tour please contact the office on 01865 248863, or email the office here.
