Admissions

Applying for a Place at St Ebbe’s

This short video gives you a taste of what your child can expect from their Reception class experience.

We have a few places available in most of our classes. The Local Authority is responsible for co-ordinating admissions to our school. It works closely with our school and uses our governing body’s agreed admissions policy. In February 2022, in light of the reducing birth rate, the School’s Governors decided that our Published Admission Number would reduce from 60 to 30 from September 2023.

The deadline for objections to the 2024-2025 Admssions Policy is 15th May 2023. Objections should be made to the Schools Adjudicator: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/objection-to-school-admission-arrangements.

Details of the LA arrangements can be found at www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/schools . Here you will be able to apply online for a primary school place and complete the Common Application Form (CAF) with an explanation of how parents can express a preference for a school. There is also information on how to apply to move between schools (in-year transfer).

Please contact Jo Williams at the school office if you need any more information or if you would like to arrange for a visit. We would like to invite you to the school so we can show you around. You will also be able to meet the staff team, pupils and library dog and hopefully begin to understand why we are so dedicated to educating children.

To arrange a school tour please contact the office on 01865 248863, or email the office here.
