Clothing for School
We have no school uniform at St. Ebbe’s, but we ask that children dress comfortably for active learning and play and that midriffs are covered. We also ask that trousers and jeans do not contain large rips. Thank you.
Please send your child in shoes with a back (e.g. not flip flops/sliders) that they can run around in. Please provide a sun hat when necessary.
On the days when there is PE, children should come to school wearing their PE kit. This should be either shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms and a t-shirt/sweatshirt along with trainers or plimsolls.
Children in Y5 and Y6 will all go swimming from September (details TBC)
Children will need a swimming hat (available to buy from the office).
Children may wear small amounts of jewellery to school that is safe to wear whilst learning and playing (e.g. a bracelet/watch/flat ring). Please avoid necklaces as these can get caught during play or lost, causing upset. If your child has their ears pierced, they may only wear stud earrings for safety reasons. Please note that jewellery will need to be removed for PE and that there will be a risk of it being misplaced so it will be best to avoid children wearing anything of particular sentimental value.
Children may not wear acrylic nails to school.
If your child has a Smart Watch, please disable the online functions before allowing them to wear it to school.
