New Parents & The School Day
Prospective Parent & New Parent Information
We have a few places available in most of our classes at the moment.
To find out what a ‘Day in the Life’ of our youngest children is like, please have a look at this short video.
In the following video our Headteacher gives a talk about what you can expect from St. Ebbe’s.
You may also find it useful to read our school’s admission arrangements and view our catchment area. If you would like to arrange a visit to the school please contact us and we will be delighted to show you around our school.
If you would like to apply for a place, the information you need can be found on the following pages:
Oxfordshire Schools Applications (starting school)
Oxfordshire Schools Transfer (from another school)
We also ask that you complete a Pupil enrolment form.

The School Day
Our Morning Routine
Our school day starts at 8.40 a.m. If you arrive earlier please wait in the hall and then take your child to their classroom.
We ask all children to bring a water bottle to school, and KS2 are encouraged to bring a morning fruit break (these are provided free for Reception and KS1).
All KS1 classes have a communication book for parents who are not collecting their children at the end of the school day, to write down their child’s after school arrangements including Ebbeneezer’s. We ask you do this daily.
We ask all children to arrive before 8.55 a.m. – if you are late you will need to sign your child into the ‘late’ book at reception. Diana Forbes is available in the hall from 8.40-9.00 for all payments and clubs. Jo Williams or Susanne Addis are available for all other queries that do not involve money at reception
Our Afternoon Routine
School finishes at 3 p.m. Children in EYFS to Year 3 should be collected from their classrooms. To minimise congestion in the cloakrooms, this is from their outside doors which lead on to the field or playground. Children in Year 4 to Year 6 are allowed to leave their classrooms independently. Parents and carers should wait in the playground for them. If parents are late children will be taken to the blue chairs in reception to wait.
