• Our Churches

My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love which shows itself in action.

1 John 3:18

As a church school, the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education provide us with bespoke support for school improvement and overall wellbeing as well as financial support for buildings and grounds improvement.

We have excellent relationships with our two local churches, St. Ebbe’s and St. Matthews, whose leaders and members make up 7 out of 12 members of our Governing Body, provide spiritual guidance and help us to act in alignment with our core values – Curiosity, Courage and Connection – governance and overall wellbeing support. Leaders from both churches support invitational Collective Worship at our school and are committed to ensuring members of our community of all or no faith are included.

Reflective Spaces

Each year, volunteers from St. Matthew’s Church facilitate a week of Reflective Spaces in our school library. Children are invited to participate in activities around values such friendship, gratitude and forgiveness. More details can be found here.
